The executive council is the acting legislative body of the fraternity. All positions of this board are made up of current, active brothers.

Regent
The Regent is the leader of our chapter, and is involved in every aspect of our chapter. Their responsibility encompass every major office in the chapter. The regent performs managerial tasks like checking the chapter's email and communicating on behalf of the chapter, however, they also are the face of our chapter. The Regent also runs meetings, communicates with the active brothers of our chapter, helps with our chapter progress report, and organizes all documents for the chapter. Most importantly though, the Regent serves as a resource for mentoring other EC members, brothers, and pledges.

Marissa Grothe
Vice Regent
The Vice Regent is responsible for overseeing all of our chapter's committees and making sure that they run smoothly. The Vice Regent also maintains that all members comply with the Constitution and By-Laws of our fraternity, and serves as the chair of the judiciary committee. In general, our Vice Regent supports our entire EC, especially our Regent! The Vice Regent will also take the place of the regent given an absence. With a less structured role and defined duties, the Vice Regent has ample amount of time to focus on projects and helping other EC members.

Secretary
The secretary is responsible for taking minutes at Chapter and EC meetings every week, as well as emailing them to chapter in a timely manner. The secretary tracks attendance at meetings, professional events, an voting rights of brothers. This brother is one of the main contact points for Central Office, especially concerning officer changes, chapter contact information, and ordering jewelry. He or she works closely with the Regent, Vice Regent, and Historian to handle all dealings concerned with the chapter.

Brianna Anderson
Treasurer
The treasurer manages the chapter's finances. This brother keeps track of the ledger, holds the checkbooks, provides reimbursements, receives dues from brothers, and sends dues to Central Office and the Province. The treasurer provides brothers with a balance sheet and a semester budget. These responsibilities go hand-in-hand with the Treasurer's position as co-chair of the finance committee. The treasurer also organizes fundraising opportunities for the chapter.

Bella Smith
Chaplain
The Chaplain is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the adherence to the Ritual, which is used in chapter meetings, initiation of new brothers, and memorial exercises. This brother is the Philanthropic coordinator for the Chapter and is co-chair for the Health Promotion and Education Committee. The Chaplain is the main point of contact for all organizations we volunteer with, and helps to provide chapter with new outreach possibilities.

Victoria Incandela
Historian
The historian submits a newsletter four times per year to the Mask, Kappa Psi's official national magazine. This brother takes pictures at as many events as possible. The historian creates a scrapbook and posts pictures/updates to the website and Facebook page to document the events of the past year and is responsible for documenting these activities and memories for future, past, and current brothers. The Historian is in charge of painting the square during relays. The Historian also organizes the composite picture, which hangs in the Fitch Hall of Pharmacy.

Sergeant-at-arms
The Sergeant-at-Arms is responsible for bringing any by-law changes to chapter, as well as sending any changes approved by chapter to the Grand Counselor for revision and/or approval. This brother should be proficient at Parliamentary Procedure and maintains order during chapter meetings. He or she is chair of the Legislative Committee, and guards the door at all meetings.

Alumni & Faculty Liaison
The alumni and faculty liaison is responsible for acting as a liaison to the Iowa Grad Chapter and Beta Chi. Additionally, the liaison hosts an annual alumni relays event, honors pharmacists during American Pharmacists Month and Drake CPHS faculty during Teacher Appreciation Week.

The social chairs are responsible for providing the beta chi brothers with fun, professional, and safe events. These events range from Fall Formal and Spring Banquet, to casual "Night Out" after meeting and ice skating in downtown Des Moines. Our social chairs also help to coordinate events with fellow professional pharmacy fraternities on campus (Phi Delta Chi and Lambda Kappa Psi), including the annual "Geek Week" in the spring.

Grand Council Deputies
Three graduate brothers are elected and serve as advisers to Chapter. They assist in submitting all necessary paperwork to central office and ensure Beta Chi is carrying out all provisions of the Constitution and By-laws. One GCD, who must be a faculty member at Drake, serves as our faculty adviser for Kappa Psi.
